Bot Protection Platform InfiSecure Raises $600K in Seed Round

Mumbai-based bot protection platform, InfiSecure, has raised $600K in seed funding from IDG Ventures and Axilor Ventures. It’s solution provides real time detection & prevention against scraping, bot abuse, fake traffic fraud, content theft, form spam and other online frauds that are caused by bots.

The firm was founded in March 2016 by Abhilash Pandey and Sandeep Singh. Read More

Knowlarity Secures $20M in Investment in Series C

Singapore-headquartered cloud telephony firm, Knowlarity has secured $20 million in Series C round of investment. The round was led by Dubai-based Delta Partners, and saw participation from existing investors Sequoia Capital India and Mayfield Fund.

The same round also includes debt-based investment from Blacksoil and Trifecta Capital. Including this round, the company has raised $41 million till date. Knowlarity was founded by Ambarish Gupta in 2009. Read More

B2B Marketplace Udaan Raises $10M in Series A at $40M Valuation

Bangalore-based B2B commerce platform, Udaan, has secured $10 million in investment from Lightspeed Venture Partners, at a valuation of $40 million. It was founded in June 2016 by 3 former Flipkart executives – Sujeet Kumar, Vaibhav Gupta and Amod Malviya.

Udaan is a platform to facilitate online trading between manufacturers, wholesalers, traders and retailers. It is currently running a pilot mode, and has opened up registrations for the public. It has a team of 20 people, mostly hired from Flipkart itself. Read More

Helpshift Secures $2M from Cisco Investments in Series B Round

Pune-based & San Francisco-headquartered mobile CRM maker, Helpshift, has raised $2 million from Cisco Investments in Series B round. It had earlier raised $23 million in the same round in June 2016 from Microsoft Ventures & Salesforce Ventures.

This takes the total investment raised by the mobile software maker to over $38.2 million. It was founded in 2011 by Abinash Tripathy and Baishampayan Ghose. Read More

India-based startup incubator Young Ideas has made investment in 3 yet to be launched startups. These include – Grad Limited (Rs 60 lakhs for a 50% stake, and an additional Rs 40 lakh line of credit,); Play Sports (Rs 70 lakh for a 25% stake) and Acadnion (Rs 16 lakh for 20% equity). Read More

Bangalore-based online platform for background verification, BetterPlace, has secured an undisclosed amount of investment from Venture Highway. It has a web & mobile based platform, that allows users to request a background check for any new hire, or any organisation they are partnering with.

It was founded in 2015 by Pravin Agarwala and Uday Singh. It has raised seed investment from Unitus Seed Fund in February 2016. Read More
