Urban Ladder Raises $3M in Venture Debt from Trifecta Capital
Furniture eCommerce firm Urban Ladder has secured a venture debt of $3 million from Trifecta Capital. While the company hasn’t released an official press statement, filings with the RoC confirm that the amount was issued in June 2016 against non-convertible debentures and compulsorily convertible preference shares.
Bangalore-based Urban Ladder was launched in 2012 by Ashish Goel and Rajeev Srivatsa. Till date the company has raised $77 million in multiple rounds from investors like SAIF Partners, Sequoia Capital, Kalaari Capital, Steadview Capital etc. Read More
Unacademy Raises $1M Led by Blume Ventures
EdTech startup Unacademy has raised $1 million in its second round of external investment led by existing investor Blume Ventures, with participation from Stanford Angels India, WaterBridge Ventures, Traxcn Labs, Flipkart founders Sachin Bansal & Binny Bansal, and Paytm founder Vijay Shekhar Sharma. The round also saw investment from its existing investors Sujeet Kumar, Aprameya Radhakrishnan and Phanindra Sama.

Delhi-based online wedding services marketplace ShaadiSaga has raised an undisclosed amount of investment in Pre-Series A round. The investors who participated in the round include ah! Ventures, Anupam Mittal, Kunal Shah, Sandeep Tandon, Dheeraj Jain of Redcliffe Capital and Rohit Chokhani of White Unicorn Ventures.

Kalaari Capital’s Kstart program has invested $100,000 and $500,000 in two Indian startups — Advenio Technosys, a clinical imaging solution provider and GuaRented, a rental marketplace, respectively.
Advenio Technosys was founded in September 2010 by Mausumi Acharyya and Snigdha Chattopadhyay Acharjee. It provides AI-based computer assisted detection for diagnostic clinical imaging.
