PropTiger Acquires AR Technology Startup 3DPhy

Real estate portal PropTiger has acquired Gurgaon-based 3DPhy, a startup working in the field of augmented reality driven 3D walk throughs. The details of the deal haven’t been disclosed. The acquisition will help PropTiger to give a better 3D visualisation experience of properties to its users.

3DPhy was founded in November 2014 by Amit Shekhar, Uttam Kumar, Rajiv Kumar & Raghavendra Polinki. It had raised an undisclosed amount of angel investment in early 2015. Read More

UrbanClap Acquires Hyperlocal Services Startup GoodService

Hyperlocal home service provider Urbanclap has acquired concierge services startup GoodService. The latter provided a chat based interface on its app for booking hyperlocal services. The two are in process of merging the operations.

UrbanClap was founded in October 2014 and has raised over $37 million till date. Whereas Goodservice was founded in 2014 by Vipul Aggarwal and Ruchir Jain, and had raised $1.6 million from Sequoia Capital in 2015. Read More

Palantir Buys Data Visualisation Startup Silk

Big data analysis firm Palantir has acquired data visualisation startup Silk. Palantir is one of the world’s most valuable private tech companies, with US federal agencies as its initial clients.

Netherlands-based Silk was founded in 2010, and had raised $3.7 million in investment till date. Its team will join Palantir immediately, but the platform will continue to run for users without any tech support. Read More

Microsoft Acquires Game Streaming Platform Beam

Microsoft has acquired Seattle-based live game streaming platform, Beam. Like Amazon-owned Twitch, Beam allows users to watch other players play games and further interact with the games they are streaming.

Delhi-based Delhi Mandi was founded by Dinesh Gehlot and Amar Solanki in March 2015. It allows users to order farm produced fruits and vegetables directly from its app. Read More
