Kwan Entertainment Acquires 85% Stake in Gigstart
Delhi-based discovery platform for artists, bands and other entertainers, Gigstart, has sold off 85% of its stake to celebrity management firm Kwan Entertainment & Marketing Solutions. Kwan has made the acquisition to improve the talent management business with technology, and reach out to more entertainers in the country. The deal size is undisclosed.
Gigstart was founded in 2013 by Atit Jain and Madhulika Pandey. In December 2014, it had raised $200,000 from a bunch of investors including Rohit Bansal, Kunal Bahl Indian Dream Capital, Rajesh Sawhney, Narendra Singh Rawat, TA Venture Holding Limited, Roshan Abbas and Anand Chandrasekaran. Marketing Automation Firm Boomtrain Acquires Bengaluru-based Nudgespot
Marketing platform Boomtrain has announced that it is acquiring Bengaluru-based Nudgespot. The two had first partnered 9 months ago to co-develop a product, taking it forward Boomtrain will include latter’s messaging platform into its system.
Nudgespot was founded in 2014 by former Myntra and Hoopos co-founder Raveen Sastry as an email automation platform for businesses. The company pivoted into a live chat platform for websites in 2015. It had raised Rs.4 crore in seed investment from Kae Capital in May 2015. Read More
Online Meat Shop EasyMeat Acquires Rival Firm Nonveggies
Pune-based online marketplace for meat ordering, EasyMeat, has acquired its local rival company Nonveggies. It was an all cash deal, the transaction amount hasn’t been disclosed.
NonVeggies was founded in December 2014, and claims to have a total 1500 users. Whereas EasyMeat reached an average of 45 orders per day in July. Read More
Food Chain Sattviko Acquires Packaged Food Firm FYNE Superfood
Vegetarian food chain Sattviko has acquired Delhi-based packaged products company FYNE Superfood. The amount of the deal is undisclosed, the acquisition will help Sattviko to diversify its offerings.
The restaurant chain sells packaged products on its website, and allows users to order food from its QSR outlets. It had acquired Jaipur based food delivery startup CallOnMeal in November 2015 in order to strenghten its online strategy. Read MoreCategory Business News
