Mumbai-based startup accelerator Zone Startups has invested close to Rs. 60 lakhs in 3 women-led startups Saral Designs, DAZL and Shubh Puja, under its empoWer programme for women entrepreneurs.

The three startups received equity-free seed funding of Rs 10 Lakhs, Rs 7 Lakhs and Rs 5 Lakhs respectively. The investments were made after reviewing 181 applications, and a 6 week mentorship program for select 15 startups. Read More

Bangalore-based hyperlocal delivery startup Daily Ninja has raised an undisclosed amount of investment in Pre-Series A round. The round was led by NuVentures’ Venk Krishnan, with participation from TaxiForSure Co-Founder Aprameya Radhakrishna; People Group Founder Anupam Mittal and Freecharge Co-Founder Kunal Shah.

Delhi-based IoT marketplace, Gaia Smartcities, has raised $300,000 in an angel round of investment from angel investors Devang Mehta and Sandeep Shetty. The company is planning to close $10 million in Series A round in the next quarter.
