Myntra Acquires Content Aggregation Platform Cubeit
Myntra has acquired Bangalore based content aggregation startup Cubeit. The deal was aimed at talent acquisition and not essentially the product or technology of the latter. The startup builds mobile apps that allow users aggregate and share content.
Cubeit was found in 2014 by Sarthak Jain, Nithinkumar Gadiparthi and Prathamesh Juvatkar and had raised about $3 million from Accel Partners and Helion Venture Partners. Read More
redBus Acquires Majority Stake in Peru-Based Busportal
redBus owner IbiboGroup has announced the acquisition of a majority stake in Peru-based bus ticketing platform Busportal for an undisclosed amount. This deal will give redBus an entry into online bus ticketing markets in Latin America, such as Peru, Colombia and Chile.
Busportal will continue to operate as an independent entity under ibibo, operated by its co-founders Hassan Bourgi & Carol Riboud. Read More
Google Acquires Link Management Startup Kifi
In order to boost its group sharing app ‘Spaces’, Google has acquired link sharing and management startup Kifi. The latter’s services will shut down in the coming weeks. The terms of the deal haven’t been disclosed.
Lifi’s technology allows users & teams to organise, share, discover and collaborate on relevant links shared on applications such as Slack. Google had launched spaces as a platform for group collaboration. Read More
