March Capital Partners Raises $240M to Invest in Both Early & Mature Startups
California: LA-based venture fund March Capital Partners has announced raising $240 million for its new fund. The investment firm has investments in India (in online payments company BillDesk) and Germany (Dojo Madness, which makes a digital coaching app for gamers). It has already invested about $100 million from its new fund in 15 ventures
The company also invests in mature startups, startups looking to raise Series B and Series C. March Capital, which is primarily focused on business-to-business enterprises, has ties to three other enterprises that help with its deal flow. Saama Capital Raises $31M For its Third Fund
Ebène: Saama Capital, VC firm and investor in companies like Paytm and Snapdeal, has raised $31 million for its third VC fund.
“With the new fund we will be investing between $2 million to $5 million at a stretch in each company. We ideally look at a company which raises close to $2.5 million in Series A with 100-150% reserved for the follow-on rounds,” said Ash Lilani, managing partner at Saama Capital. He further added, “the angel-friendly fund will also look to co-invest in early stage companies.”
Saama, which has also made several non-tech investments like Chai Point and Raw Pressery, expects to make a final close by third quarter of 2016. Read More
