Prepathon Secures Funds From Blume Ventures

New Delhi: Prepathon, a learning app for competitive exams, has raised an undisclosed amount in its pre-series A round from Blume ventures, an early stage investment firm. The funds will be used to add another 50 courses to the Prepathon stable, which presently has courses in banking, government, management and engineering exams.

Launched in August 2015, Prepathon has attracted 150,000 users to its fold. An app that helps create a virtual classroom for students preparing for competitive exams, it comes with proprietary feature ‘Coach.’ This ‘Coach’ helps improve student performance by solving queries, giving motivation and providing interactive learning sessions.

CloudHealth Technologies Raises $20M From Sapphire Ventures

Boston: CloudHealth Technologies Inc, a startup that monitors cloud expenses and helps tracks operational parameters like performance, has raised $20 million in a round led by Sapphire Ventures. The round also saw participation from a group of investors. The startup aims to deploy the capital for product development. One of the first items on the agenda is adding broader integration with popular infrastructure-as-a-service platforms such as AWS and Azure. CloudHealth also plans to hire more marketers and salespeople to promote its value proposition, which hinges on the idea that deploying a unified monitoring tool is preferable to using multiple point-solutions.

Mumbai: Mumbai-based driver on demand service Zuver, has raised $180,000 in seed round from IT consulting & infrastructure management group Shruth & Smith Holdings and retail assisted eCommerce network Hermes Group.

Founded by Sidhanth Mally and Sovin Hegde in 2015, Zuver, provides on-demand, location specific driver services. Sovin quoted, “An integrated app that would let you book, track and pay for premium driver services which not just offers any driver, but a sophisticated, well-spoken and well-mannered one at your doorstep is certainly a novel concept. We are empowered by a technology that would let us dispatch a driver within 40 minutes of your booking. Zuver will transform the way many commutes.”

Kalaari’s Kstart Funds $500k Each in, Affordplan and Indee

Bangalore: Kalaari Capital has invested $500,000 each in, Affordplan and Indee. Kstart was launched in February this year to nurture startups via systematic program to fast-track their growth.  It invests in startups via convertible equity instruments. Founded by Ravi Shankar, Parikshit Paspulati and Shankar Narayanan in 2016, – provides a tech platform for banks, wealth managers and financial services companies to interact with customers.

Affordplan: Founded by Tejbir Singh and Hemal Bhatt in 2016, Affordplan is a tech product for doctors and patients to co-design payment plans for non-emergency healthcare services.

Indee: Founded by Sharan Reddy in 2015, Indee is a web video streaming platform that helps film studios and entertainment companies to promote and test their content before releasing it to viewers.
