Yral: Helping Brands Connect with Celebs For Advertisement

yral (pronounced ‘viral’) was founded in Jan 2016. It is a joint venture between global digital marketing agency Adlift and YouWeCan Ventures. While the former is an online marketing company specializing in ROI driven search engine optimization, SEM and link-building, the latter is a VC firm by Yuvraj Singh to help exceptional entrepreneurs tap new opportunities.

The platform seamlessly connects advertisers with celebrities by leveraging their social media network. The company’s goal is to deliver the right audience and scalable reach to its advertisers by leveraging modern social media platforms.

Prashant Puri, CEO, AdLift

“Yral provides registered advertisers with the right set of information that enables them to identify and interact with brand advocates, helping advertisers reach customers throughout all stages of the purchase funnel”, maintains Prashant Puri, CEO, AdLift.

Problems Addressed by this Platform

Today, brands need to jump through hoops to reach the right celebrity/influencer. Moreover, celebrities have unprecedented reach and a strong connect with their followers/fans on social which remains underutilized. Yral makes it easier to leverage a celebrity (real influencer) to endorse their brand online.

How does it Work?

The company is inviting brands to join its platform so that it can customize the right social brand endorsement for them. Within a span of 2 months, Yral claims to have signed on brands in the BFSI and consumer goods vertical for whom it launched successful campaigns during the T20 World Cup Cricket where key players endorsed brand via their social media platform. It is now working on the IPL 2016 campaign.

This depends on the campaigns and changes based on brand/advertisers. Depending on the brand’s needs , Yral devises an appropriate campaign. The size of the campaign depends on the Brand’s budget.

Market Opportunities

Elaborating on the market size and opportunities, Puri said, “Digital Marketing Spends are estimated to reach $2billion by 2019, and if only 5% is led by celebrities, we estimate the market size to be $100million.
