Simplilearn Raises Funds From Times Group’s Brand Capital
California: Simplilearn, Ed-tech startup, has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from The Times Group’s Brand Capital. It is also believed that they have entered into a strategic collaboration. Founded by Krishna Kumar in 2009, SImplilearn is a online professional certification platform, that offers a multitude of training and IT certifications in areas like advanced cloud computing and six sigma, through a combination of online classes and in-person workshops.
Krishna stated that their partnership with the Times Group will help them reach a much wider pool of aspiring white-collared workers.
India Educational Investment Fund (IEIF) Invests in Oliveboard
Bangalore: Oliveboard, ed-tech startup, has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from India Educational Investment Fund (IEIF), an early stage fund by Michael & Susan Dell Foundation. Founded in 2012 by Satish Kumar and Abhishek Patil, Oliveboard is a learning and test preparation platform for premier entrance examinations.
OYOFit Secures Funds From RN Agarwal
Bangalore: OYOFit, Bangalore based fitness service platform, has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from RN Agarwal, managing director, WeP Peripherals Ltd. Founded by IIT alumni Shivank Agarwal, Gaurav Bhatia, and Ruchir Garg in 2015, the company offers users to discover, book and experience fitness services in over 150 partnered fitness clubs. It offers more than 30 fitness activities including sessions for zumba, pilates, yoga, dance, aerobics, and more, with no yearly contracts.
CollegeDekho Raises $2M in Pre-Series A From Man Capital
Delhi: CollegeDekho, ed-tech startup, gas raised $2 million in Pre-Series A from Man Capital, London-based investment firm of Mansour Group. This is first investment of Mansour Group in an Indian startup. Moreover, the funding announcement just came under four months since the company raised $1 million from GirnarSoft.
