Social Commerce Platform mishTag Secures Funds From M&Y Partners, SVG Media, Anthil Ventures and others

New Delhi: Social commerce platform mishTag has raised an undisclosed amount funding in seed round from M&Y Partners, SVG Media, Anthil Ventures and other angels. Founded by Pushpendra Thakur and Arpit Chhabra in 2014, mishTag enables shoppers to ask questions and seek product recommendation by just uploading a photo along with their question.

Arpit on the same, said, “When it comes to shopping each one of us has a lot of back pocket information and experiences, good enough to be shared with fellow shoppers, with those looking for help, advice, suggestions or recommendations. We are providing an outlet for such discussions to happen, and our users are loving it.”

Jaipur: Yufta, fashion retail platform, has raised an undisclosed amount of funding in Pre-Series A from founding members of RAIN (Rajasthan Angel Investor Network), Ajay Data and others. WIth this Ajay will be joining the board at Yufta. Founded by Ritesh Khandelwal, Ravi Khandelwal and Tarun Sharma, the startup provides a personal stylist experience by curating major fashion trends for women, with aggregation of local fashion stores.

Ritesh said, “We at Yufta are trying to solve basic ecommerce hurdles by combining technology and operation in efficient manner in an omni-channel model. Our core hypothesis is that, for ecommerce in India, we can grow big and fast by complementing offline rather than competing with offline.”


Drone Management Platform PrecisionHawk Raises $18M in Series C

North Carolina: PrecisionHawk has raised $18 million in Series C round of funding to help companies use drones for different commercial purposes in the United States, without getting into airspace where they can’t fly safely or legally. The round saw participation from Verizon Ventures, insurance giants USAA, NTT Docomo Ventures, Yamaha Motor Ventures, Intel Capital, Millennium Technology Value Partners, and the Innovate Indiana Fund.

Founded in 2011 by Christopher Dean and Ernest Earon, Precision Hawk offers a fully autonomous UAV performing low altitude aerial data collection and subsequent data management and analysis.
