Heath-Tech Startup Touchkin Raises $400k in Seed Round
Touchkin, health-tech startup, has raised $400,000 in seed funding in a round, by Alok Mittal, Amit Gupta (co-founder of InMobi), Anuj Srivastava (CEO of Livspace), Himanshu Aggarwal (CEO of Aspiring Minds), Raghunandan G (co-founder of TaxiForSure), and Puneet Agarwal (co-founder of Moneyview).
Founded by Jo Aggarwal and Ramakant Vempati in 2015, the startup aims to become one stop destination for predictive health care providers for elders (that uses mobile-based social sensing) to enable proactive personalised care, thus bringing help to those who need it, from care experts or families.
Rajul Garg Invests in Yet Another Heathcare Startup
Babygogo, child healthcare startup, has raised $300,000 in seed round led by Rajul Garg. Dr Aniruddha Malpani, Daljit Singh, Aditya Vij, Salil Kapoor, Dr Kishore Kumar, Ashu Agarwal, Director, Ashish Tulsian, Afsal Salu, Dr Shuchin Bajaj and Dr Ritesh Malik, also participated in the round.
Founded by Siddhartha Ahluwalia, Sowrab NRS and Satyadeep Karnati, the startup is a community of parents and doctors where parents seek information and help about child health care. The platform enables new parents to browse information and articles on things like baby food, health and day-to-day parenting.
True Balance Raises Funds From SoftBankVentures Korea
In another bid, True Balance has raised an undisclosed amount of funds from SoftBankVentures Korea. The startup is a mobile application developed by a South Korean expatriate to help users keep track of the credits available on their prepaid phone accounts.
Founded on 17 July 2014 by Cheolwon (Charlie) Lee and launched on 25th September, 2014, True Balance is a prepaid mobile phone balance manager for android users, developed and maintained by Balance Hero. Indian Cricketer Robin Uthappa Invests in HealthEminds
Robin Uthappa has invested an undisclosed amount in HealthEminds through his fund Caffeine Ventures. Founded by investment banker Ankita Puri and Yale alumni Sunita Maheshwari, the startup targets on tackling mental and emotional problems.
Adding to the investment, Robin said, “I invested in HealthEminds to help break this barrier that is holding people back from reaching their full potential.
