Self Drive Car Rental Aggregator JustRide Raises $400K in Pre Series A Round
Mumbai-based self-drive car rental aggregator, JustRide, has raised $400,000 in a pre-Series A round from a group of angel investors including Dheeraj Jain, partner at Redcliffe Capital. The raised funding will be used by the startup to enhance its technology. The startup is also in talks with an Indian FMCG company to raise $2 million in Series A round. In November 2015, the company raised a funding of $2 million.
JustRide was founded in April 2015 by Ashwarya Pratap Singh, Hemant Kumar Sah, Vasant Verma, Abhishek Mahajan and Amit Sahu, it claims to have over 350 cars on its platform.
Artificial Intelligence Startup Yana Raises Seed Funding
Founded in May 2015 by Rahul Gupta, Ankit Sharma and Aashish Gupta, artificial Intelligence startup Yana has raised seed funding from Hong Kong based investors led by Puneet Gupta of Goldman Sachs. The startup is operational in cities like Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad among others.
Yana AI is a completely automated chat-based engine to get groceries, cabs, services and contacts, plans to use the new funding to expand into more categories including recharges, food, travel, shopping and more.
Big Fish Ventures Bags $11M from Angel Investors
Delhi-based startup, Big Fish Ventures which runs premium dining lounges such as Vault Cafe and GaramDharam, has raised $11 million in its second round of funding from angel investors – including high net worth individuals – and founder Umang Tewari.
Founded in 2015 by hospitality sector veteran Umang Tewari. the startup owns and operates food and beverage outlets in casual dining, cafes and lounges, will use the funding to expand its operations. It plans to expand its presence in Mumbai, by opening outposts, and its first overseas outlet in Dubai, apart from exploring opportunities in other cities like Chandigarh, Jalandhar, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Pune.
