Gurgaon: Horntell, unified platform, has raised $150,000 in angel round led by the CEO of, Bharanidharan Viswanathan. The round also saw participation from Sanjiv Mital (CEO at NISG), Shobhit Shukla (Chief Revenue Officer at and Rahul Agarwal (VP of Finance at Near).

This Gurgaon-based startup is valued at $2 million at the moment. Founded by Mohit Mamoria in March 2015, the app acts as an unified platform that allows users to use any app/website through one single feed containing small actionable notifications.

Mumbai: Sedemac Mechatronics, automotive products company, has raised $7.5 million in a round led by Nandan Nilekani, co-founder of Infosys. The round also saw participation from existing investor Nexus Venture Partners.

This Mumbai-based startup builds control for small engines and power trains. Founded by mechanical engineering professor Shashikanth Suryanarayanan with fellow IITians — Pushkaraj Panse, Amit Dixit and Manish Sharma, the startup claims to have clients like Tata Motors, Mahindra Group, Ashok Leyland and TVS Motors.
