Other investors include Phani Sharma (Founder of RedBus), Narayan Ramachandran (Former country head at Morgan Stanley), and Pranav Pai (Invested for Mohandas Pai). The funds will further be used for product development and hiring.

Founded by IIT Madras alumni Naveen Varma Alluri and Deepti Yenireddy, the company uses language processing and machine learning. The company offers an AI powered assistant (Alex) that acts and learn on how the user interacts with him. Now, Alex integrates with Outlook, Gmail and CRM softwares used for hiring, marketing and sales.

Deepti said, “Business professionals spend an inordinate amount of time on low value scheduling activities. We developed Skedool’s assistant as a blend of artificial and human intelligence that quickly and accurately handles all your B2B scheduling and calendar management needs for less than 5% of the cost of a full time executive assistant.”

Alex works as an assistant that can schedule work, remind you of the meetings, fix meetings, mail (keeping the time-difference in mind) etc. All the user needs to do is to keep Alex in the cc part of the mail and it’ll itself learn and encode the meaning of it. The company is charging $100 a month per user.

The Indian AI market is growing by the day as technology is continuously penetrating the society. Startups like Clara Labs, and are dealing in the same space, so Skedool has no direct competition in the country.
