Shopkirana Raises Fund from a Group of Investors Including Atul Jain

Indore-based, Shopkirana raises an undisclosed amount of funding from Atul Jain, former senior VP- Samsung Global HQ with participation from Hola Chef founder, Anil Gelra. A few other FMCG veterans have also participated in this round namely, Jaikumar Nair, former Senior VP of Mondelez ( which owns Cadbury).

The startup has raised this investment by diluting equity.

Shopkirana was founded in February 2015 by Tanutejas Saraswat, Sumit Ghorawat, and Deepak Dhanotiya. It is an app based platform which helps  individual retailers connect directly with suppliers.

The startup claims to have over 3000 retailers in Indore. It is doing a sale of 6 to 7 lacs per day. Around 90 brands are associated with Shopkirana, including P&G, HUL and ITC, among others.
