OyBob, an online marketplace, a vendor central for local services and on-demand deliveries, has raised angel funding from Sachin Dalal, ex Co-founder of Infibeam.com. The startup is currently serving in Delhi and NCR only (Gurgaon, Noida, Ghaziabad, Faridabad and surrounding areas) and has been working on customer and vendor feedback.
The company’s immediate plan is to add more organized vendors and services for Delhi/NCR and increase app adoption. Further funding rounds will be used to replicate service offering in other cities.
“OyoBob want to bring real business value to local vendors in this era of mobility and eCommerce and to build a profitable pure play technology platform business. It is similar to Amazon’s Webstore but for on-demand local services, local products and online-only home based businesses,” said Sachin.
The startup was launched in October 2015, is a discovery app (Android) for local services and products. The company offers wide range of services across multiple categories like Travel, Food, Health Trainers, Professional Consultants, Home Maintenance etc.
The app intends to provide the location-based and on-demand discovery experience on mobile to its aggregated customer base. It is an entire hyperlocal solution with a full stack backend operations’ solution for vendors to automate and execute their backend processes by themselves.
OyBob helps in providing a set of B2C and B2B service providers like professionals consultants, florists, on-demand drivers, photographers, local bakeries, ‘dabba-wallas’ etc.
