Delhi-based startup Styledotme has raised funding from Indian Angel Network. The investment has been made under the ‘Small Ticket Funding programme’ which was announced by IAN last year. Ajay Gupta has led this round of investment on behalf of IAN and will be mentoring the company.
The investment will be utilized to build the company’s technical team, fine tuning the app and adding new features that would make the app more intuitive and addictive. The company will also be marketing the app both in offline and online space.
Launched in January 2014, Styledotme is a fashion app that helps users make fashion decisions through their networking of friends and followers along with expert advice. When people are confused about what to wear or the right outfit to buy, the app allows them to instantly poll your friends and followers and get them to vote on their choices. If anyone need help to make a choice urgently, a timer can be attached to SOS notification that will count down to remind friends of their deadline. Styledotme app is available for free on Android and iOS.
The company further plans to add features that will not just give users instant fashion opinion but also help them in suggesting various other relevant products through the app instantly. Such an integration will not just help the users choose better but also be advantageous to all the retail partners both online and offline since their sales can soar when customers make a confident buys recommended by a fashion expert.
