Times Internet, the digital arm of Times of India Group has acquired Gurgaon based Viral Shots for an undisclosed amount.
Viral Shots is a micro content mobile app that curates stories from over 300 social and web destinations and is clocking around 100 million screen views per month. The company was founded by Shalini Tewari and Kumar Apurva – who have over 15 years of experience in mobile and Internet space.

Viral Shots currently serves differentiated content in English, Hindi, Bengali & Telugu and shall be available in all the major Indian languages by mid 2016.
Times Internet also has stakes in similar business, Inshorts, a content distributor app which acquired Palo Alto and Bangalore-based BetaGlide Inc. with an aim to move a step ahead in delivering the better content consumption experience in October 2015.Category Business News
