Saama Capital Gets $100M for Three Funds

Bangalore-based VC firm, Saama Capital has closed its first round by raising $100 million in three separate funds. The firm which previously invested in Snapdeal, Bluestone and Paytm, has raised $54 million for Series A fund, $26 million in the second and the rest in the third fund.

Through the third fund, Saama has invested in 4 companies – LendingKart, EazyDiner, Veeba Foods and Jifflenow, till now. It was was founded in 2012 by Ash Nilani and Suresh Shanmugham.

As per HinduBusinessLine report, the first round was raised as part of the Silicon Valley Bank and the subsequent rounds as part of Saama Valley.
