Online Insurance Policy Aggregator Easypolicy Bags $2M from Unilazer Ventures

Noida-based online insurance policy aggregator, Easypolicy which offers consumers both life and non-life insurance policies across categories, has raised around $2 million in a fresh round of funding led by Ronnie Screwvala’s private investment arm Unilazer Ventures. The new funding will be used by the four year old startup to further build its technology platform, enhance its product portfolio, and to strengthen its marketing team.


Early-stage investor Anil Jain, Founder and Managing Director of Refex Energy, also participated in the latest round. The company also counts the Burman Family Office and consumer group conglomerate Dabur India, among its investors.

Founded in 2011 by Alok Bhatnagar, Divyanshu Tripathi and Neeraj Aggarwala, EasyPolicy is an insurance comparison website. It helps in choosing insurance plan for its customers. To get the right insurance policy, the startup offers an advanced search, comparison, and filter functions. It has more than 30,000 customers, 9 lakh visitors, over 275 plans and having around 170 employees in its team

This is Unilazers’ second investment in 2016. Earlier this week, the firm has also invested in the online gadget accessory store, DailyObjects.
