Fitness Mobile App FITSO Raises $200K in Angel Round from Droom CEO, Others

FITSO, a fitness mobile app, has raised $200,000 in angel round of funding from Varun Khurana, Ex CTO, Grofers; Samar Singla, CEO, Jugnoo and Vinay Bansal, CFO, Wildcraft. Gurgaon-based Jogo Technologies Pvt Ltd, which owns and operates Fitso, will use the funding raised to strengthen its technology backbone and expand operations to multiple cities. The company is launching services in Mumbai on January 17.



FITSO works as a social platform that enables people with similar interests in fitness, to connect with each other, participate in various fitness activities happening around them, hire professional coaches and much more. Its ability to connect fitness enthusiasts further helps Indian women to take their first step towards fitness.

The company was founded three months ago by three IIT-Delhi graduates, Saurabh Aggarwal, Naman Sharma and Rahool Sureka. FITSO app is available for Android and iOS users.

Prior to starting this venture, Aggarwal was at Flipkart in Business Development. Naman worked with Zomato for four years and now heading the role of Technology and Product Head at FITSO. Sureka worked at Yepme and UrbanClap and is now the startup’s Marketing and Strategy Head.

A couple of days back, mobile based weight loss coaching platform Obino raised an undisclosed amount of funding from RoundGlass Partners.
