DaakNinja: Providing Logistics Solution for Individual and eCommerce Sellers

Gurgaon-based DaakNinja is a way of sending couriers anytime, sitting at home while the startup picks, packs and delivers it across the globe. The company claims that it covers the first mile of shipping and are working towards improvising the age old infrastructure of the logistics industry in India by providing transparency and end to end solutions.

Not only it find the courier partners which are reliable and cost effective, but also insure the products for losses and damages up to Rs. 10,000 at no extra cost. The startup was founded in 2015 by BITSians Kushal Verma and Pritam Kumar Singh along with Abhishek Anand, who graduated from Kent State University and University of Delhi.


All users have to do is-

3. The startup’s pickup boy (Ninja) will be there with in 2 hours to collect the product. 

4. The package is shipped through one of DaakNinja’s shipping partners depending on the destination, timeline, and product type.

The startup is Bootstrapped so far. But it is planning to raise an angel round to expand operations in whole NCR and couple of more cities. Starting with around 100 couriers per month, the company is now doing around 250 couriers per day.


The company offers a variety of services like next day deliveries, same day deliveries, COD, international deliveries, etc.

Ninja’s market segment is divided into individual customers, small/home based sellers, eCommerce sellers (who have to get their logistics to run their operations smoothly). The firm is not only solving the individual’s issue but it also solve one of the major issues faced by the eCommerce market players, in handling small shipments on a daily basis.

“With increasing market size of eCommerce market and increase in number of internet users in India, it has become a challenging task for the eCommerce to handle shipments in this number,” says DaakNinja’s Co-founder Kushal Verma.

Going forward, the startup plans to provide real time tracking, reducing the delays by using tracking systems and it aims to bring down the logistic costs of the eCommerce market along with other users.

DaakNinja competes with the likes of Parcelled, Pickrr and Shipsy. As per LPI (logistics performance index), India ranks at 53 /115 countries with a score of 3.08/5. which indicates the unorganized structure of logistics in India. “In this busy schedule of everyday’s life of each and every person, we are trying to make sending couriers as easy at just a click of a button, adds team.

Talking about the challenges faced by the venture, Kushal further says, “Building a good team is the most important part of setting up a business. We want people who know to catch the ball if it is falling.”

The eRetail market is estimated to grow up to $50 billion by the year 2020. The delivery market size and returns market account for 10% and 3%, i.e, $5 billion and $1.7 billion, respectively. While the bigger players have their own logistics arms or can even start their own logistics. The smaller players on the other hand cannot afford the same.

“By providing the most efficient end-to-end services, we let the eCom portals focus on selling products only, as Ninja provides on demand pick ups, then package the products and courier them through one of our many courier partners, depending on location, timeline, product, cost, etc,” mentioned Kushal.
