After making an entry into the hyper local logistics space, and getting funded by an angel investor, New Delhi-based mShipper has now acquired Pune-based technology company Spieler to strengthen its technical capabilities like predictive analysis, app enhancement, web services and much more.
Spieler is a part of mShipper now and Roshan Patil one of the Co-Founders & Chief Technology Officer of Spieler will be joining as the new CTO of mShipper along with the other Co-Founders of Spieler, Pritam Patil, Onkar Kale, Vishal Bhosale and Sudhir Ingole.
Saurav Sagar, Chief Operating Office of mShipper said, “Spieler was building the platform since inception hence they are well aware of what we have done so far and has to be done next. Based on the deliverables in past few months, we strongly believed that this acquisition may result into a great power to our product and future roadmaps.”
Spieler IT Solution helps organizations assess how to maximize their performance and works with them to achieve their vision. It help enterprises transform and thrive in a changing world through strategic consulting, operational leadership, and the co-creation of breakthrough solutions, including those in mobility, sustainability, big data, and cloud computing.
Founded in September 2015, by Ranvijay Singh (CEO), Saurav Sagar (COO), Vishwa Bhaskar (CMO) and Kamlesh Kumar Chaurasiya (CFO), mShipper is a crowdsourced delivery platform that connects senders to shippers. The startup had raised a seed round of $77K (Rs.50 lakh) from a Delhi based Angel, Vijai Laxmi in October 2015.
As of now mShipper services are available for retailers/etailers and individuals of Delhi/NCR. The company is serving more than 50 orders a day from 10-15 regular etailers via its customized SME panel (a dashboard for senders). More than 1500 shippers (freelancers/individuals who are ready to deliver) have already joined its platform since its inception.
The other players operating in the space are RoadRunnr, Parcelled, Pickingo, Delhivery, EcomExpress and E-Kart. “In spite of its several close competitors, mShipper, due to its crowdsourced approach, seems to be a good, scalable and sustainable business model,” the company mentioned in a statement.
