Content Transfer App Plick Gets Angel Funding

Content transfer app Plick which is operated by New Age Networks Pvt Ltd, has raised an undisclosed amount in angel round from angel investor Sanjay Mehta, who is a member of the Indian Angel Network, Mumbai Angels, B2B 1K Ventures and Venture Nursery. His portfolio of investments include Poncho (Box8.in), Unbxd, Prettysecrets.com, Oravel (OYOIn) and Interview Master (TalView). His latest investment was in IT reverse logistics startup Blubirch which is backed by Bangalore-based Green Enabled IT Solutions Pvt Ltd.

Plick aims to utilise the raised funding to develop its offerings for multiple browsers and operating systems, besides upgrading its server for quicker response time, as VCCircle reported.

Founded in February 2015 by Kapil Sanghavi, Plick provides a way to transfer text, images, URLs from one device to another. The app helps user to transfer instantly text or images from web browser to their phone and vice versa without sending emails or using any cables or Bluetooth. It is now available for Chrome, Android and iOS devices.

Mumbai-based startup will serve customers in B2B sales and services, B2C retail, eCommerce, HR and payroll, education and training, finance and banking, events and B2C marketing.

Kapil has 15 years of experience in internet technologies, digital marketing and website development and previously worked with Growthwell Consulting Pvt Ltd.

Plick competes with the likes of Evernote and OneNote.
