Founded by a team of IIT graduates, Bangalore based startup working in furniture technology segment, Infurnia has raised a seed funding of $160,000 from venture capital firm Idein Ventures.
Idein Ventures was founded by Mumbai based serial entrepreneur Ashwin Srivastava, UAE based global investor Rajeshwar Prasad, and US based private equity expert and solution architect Mahesh Vellaboyina. Ashwin Srivastava will join Infurnia’s board of directors.
Infurnia’s under development “Room Virtualization” technology will enable consumers to create a digital replica of their rooms. This will enable consumers to visualize and customize the complete look of furniture before making a purchase. This, coupled with their “Furniture Customization” technology, allows consumers to interactively customize their furniture in 3D.
The company works with established furniture sellers, empowering them with technologies to exhibit their furniture catalogue to retail customers. It was founded by three Co-Founders Nikhil Kumar, Lovepreet Mann and Parul Jain. Nikhil previously worked with Credit Suisse for 2 years and Lovepreet has a two year work experience at Deutsche Bank. Parul is an interior designer with more than 20 years of domain expertise.
With this funding, Infurnia plans to build up its team further. “We are most keen to work with experienced early joiners for business model development, marketing, sales and technology, who can take leadership roles in respective stream”, adds Nikhil, CEO and Product Head of Infurnia.
