Aurospaces: A Neighborhood Service Availing Platform with Map Technology

Bangalore-based Aurospaces is a platform that helps professionals and vocationally skilled people to get the marketplace for their skills and at the other end helps users avail any Health Care, Up-keeping and Fitness services at the convenience of their home. The startup was founded in 2015 by Jabbala Rajamohan who is the CEO of Aurospaces. He is a graduate from IIT Madras and has worked with some of the brands like Sun micro-USA, Ericsson-Sweden, CSFB-Singapore and Wipro-USA.


Its app is available for Android users. It is a neighborhood service availing platform with map technology, offers wellness, beauty and home care services. Users can book, ‘Doctors on call’, ‘Physiotherapy at home’, ‘Pathology Blood Tests’, ‘Nurses’, ‘Patient Attenders’, ‘Elderly Care’, ‘Plumbers’, ‘Carpenters’, ‘Electricians’, ‘Pest Control’, ‘Pet Care’, ‘Appliances Repair’ and etc. from the convenience of their home or office.

Patent-pending technology searches and assigns service provider for users. Other parameters used to assign are price, proximity, time-to-deliver. The startup mission is to build an organised one stop platform for all services.

“Therefore, we continually invest in patents and technology to make your life easy and smooth. We connect you to best of the professionals from your neighbourhood at your doorstep -quicker and safer,” the company mentioned on its website.

Present status and future plans

Aurospaces claims to processes over 6,000 orders per month. Currently, it is present in 2 cities – Bangalore and Hyderabad. The startup is also planning to launch in pune and NCR in couple of months.

Talking about its future plans, Jabbala Rajamohan told iamwire, “Get more clients effectively without burning too much and become profitable in 18 months from now.”

Monetisation model

It monetises by taking commission from service providers and plans to generate a revenue of Rs. 10 crore in first fiscal year.

The company further added that service providers are carefully chosen and background verification done to ensure that users can book orders with Aurospaces peacefully.

Funding raised

Aurospaces already raised $500,000 in angel round and looking for Series A funding in April 2016, already talking to VC houses in India and outside. Angel Investors are Srinivas Moramchetty, president of Nivasoft India and few other US based Angels.

“Series A funding will be used to become profitable and sustainable in next 18 months. We don’t believe only in burning but earning as well,” Rajamohan added.

Competition and market size

The startup competes with the likes of Urbanclap, LocalOye and HouseJoy among others. However, commenting on its differential factor, Aurospaces mentioned, “we are totally different from them in terms of business operations, we are a full stack players and believe in providing the service experience.”

On-demand home services market size in India is pegged at approximately $100 billion and there is a pie for everyone, as per Aurospaces’ CEO Jabbala.
