India based healthcare technology startup MeraDoctor has raised around $1.04 million (Rs.7 crore) in a pre-series A led by Unilazer Ventures, with participation from existing investor IndiaQuotient. This funding would be invested to scale its technology platform, grow its doctor base, and increase its technology and management teams.
The company provides a platform for virtual consultations between doctors and patients. Since the launch of its Android app in early 2015, MeraDoctor claims to have assisted over 300,000 people connect with doctors across India through its chat interface.
The firm was co-founded by Ajay Nair and Gautam Ivatury in 2011. Nair is a physician and a Harvard University graduate, while Ivatury is co-founder of Signal Point Ventures. The firm had raised its seed round in September 2015, from IndiaQuotient, Aaavishkaar and Accion Venture Lab.Category Investments News
