The Indian taxi aggregation market is majorly captured by Uber and OLA, as the competition is increasing small fleet operators have formed an alliance to work against the two. These small fleet operators will come under a common platform to become the world’s largest Taxi-Aggregation partnership. This is being formed to compete against the discounts provided by Uber and OLA.
This common space is being named ‘Mind Your Fleet’, which will be launched in February next year. The platform will have a website booking option as well as an app to provide fleets. Companies like ixigo, Flash Cabs, MTaxi, Blue Sky Cabs, Fab Cabs etc are coming together to get a grip on the market. They will introduce almost 5,000 cars to the platform at first. MYF is set to provide booking management, fleet management, corporate management, billing and accounting details.
The Platform set to join all the taxi services under one platform, which will have an interconnected network, no matter what the city. It might prove as a threat to Uber and OLA, who have a max of 2-3 cars in an area, while these services are 50 in number and can have as many cars as 100. This alliance comes after Ola announced a global partnership with Uber’s biggest rivals China’s Didi Kuaidi, US-based Lyft and South Asia-based GrabTaxi. Will this local partnership come as a threat to Ola now?
