Chat Based Order Taking Platform ‘Joe Hukum’ Gets Seed Funding from TracxnLabs, Others

Chat-based order taking platform, JoeHukum (formerly GoGetSpeedy), has raised seed funding from TracxnLabs and a group of distinguished angels led by Jitendra Gupta (Founder, Citrus Payments) and Prashant Tandon (Founder, 1mg/HealthKart),  Additionally, the company is already in advanced stages for its next round of funding.

Founded by ex-HealthKart employees Ajeet Kushwaha, Arihant Jain and Rahul Agarwal, Joe Hukum is a personalizable chat-based order taking and fulfilment platform aimed at giving customers a way to get their routine tasks done efficiently. Through Joe Hukum, or Joe, customers will have uniform access to a variety of services through chat along with a centralized payment option. Users can take advantage of Joe’s technology to get everything done including Local Shopping, Pick and Drop, Food, Repairs, Movie/ Event Tickets, Travel, Restaurant Reservations, Taxi, Flowers, Cakes, Recharge, Bill Payments, Groceries and more.

The startup has been operational since July 2015, it is currently based in Delhi NCR, but also does some transactions in other cities as well. The team at Joe Hukum plans to scale up to other geographies soon. From the technology side, the company plans to launch a revolutionary frictionless payment solution soon.

In line with this, Joe Hukum aims to provide its customers with the easy ways to transact on mobile, by combining multiple services into a single solution – all accessible through chat. The startup aims to do this by creating technology that enables order taking in a simple manner across categories and brands along with creating a uniform platform to allow API integration across diverse partners. With this focus, Joe is looking to spearhead the use of automation technology within the conversational commerce space to take care of the entire process – from request to fulfilment.

Besides having an app on both Android and iOS, Joe can also be used through SMS, ensuring that less technologically-inclined customers have a tool to use to get their work done.
