Numa with collaboration with Airbus BizLab has shortlisted 11 startups for its six-month accelerator programme in Bengaluru, namely- 1Plify, Courtside, FlippAR, Full On Shaadi, Najdik, Piki, Team Smart Schools,Svadin, Men’s Room, Canvazify and Inkhorn.
The shortlisted startups who play in sectors like fin-tech, edu-tech etc., will be given operational, legal, and marketing support and guidance.
Commenting on the matter, Frederic Oru, COO, Numa, said, “What we do is is bring corporates, communities and startups together.” With more than 15 years of experience in the field, Numa runs accelerator programmes in Paris, Moscow, Casablanca, and now in Bengaluru. “What we have done in 15 years in Paris, we think we can achieve here in two years, because of Bengaluru’s thriving startup ecosystem.”
The two companies aim at creating synergies between their accelerators, from startup selection to specific events that will benefit from their respective ecosystems of mentors, experts and investors.
“With the Airbus BizLab Bangalore, we are broadening our horizons and we aim to accelerate the rise of an Indian aeronautical entrepreneurship,” said Bruno Gutierres, Head of Airbus BizLab.
The airplane maker launched its first global aerospace business accelerator in Toulouse in March 2015 to bring together startups and Airbus employees or ‘intrapreneurs’ to work and speed up the transformation of their innovative ideas into valuable businesses.
