Founded in 2014 by Anubhab Goel, Gaurav Shrivastava and Amit Kumar, Zimmber is a handyman services provider. Home painting, AC servicing, plumbing, carpentry, home cleaning etc., are few of the services that are listed on the platform.
According to Anubhab, in the last 12-15 weeks the business has grown 15X. The company is serving around 1000 requests a day. It has expanded to 3 cities. He says, “it’s important to get such complex model validated across geographies since there are unique characteristics of region in Indian given the large, varied and complex conditions”.
Talking about Zimber’s USP, Goel maintained, “We are a full stack player and own the customer experience unlike most of the other players in the market which are more like booking platform. We believe that the entire industry has to be disrupted and the process of change is going to be a slow and tedious process. We actually keep our service providers (we coined the term champ for them) at the core since they are the ones who have to deliver the best customer experience.”
In June 2015, the startup raised $400,000 from InMobi’s Co-Founder Naveen Tewari and at the same time, acqui-hired Mumbai-based laundry service Dhulai.in. In 2014, the venture had raised about $500,000 from a group of angel investors including Jabong India head, Praveen Sinha, and an executive from Godrej Group.

Founded in 2013 by Rachit Mathur and Snehil Khanor,FindYahan is a hyper local marketplace for home and lifestyle services that include wellness, home painting, laundry, car care, education and tutoring, domestic help etc. The platform connects skilled individuals and home businesses to their target customers.
Commenting on the startup’s USP, Snehil said, “If you are hiring a photographer or say yoga teacher, what others do is they connect you with 5-6 providers and then you have to decide whom to hire. What we discovered was that users don’t know how to choose between those 5-6 providers as they don’t have the skill set or experience for that.” FindYahan on the other hand, recommends the customers, their service provider. The company asks the user 6 to 7 questions specific to the service requests and finds a service provider who is best suited for the request and is available within the user’s budget and the preferred preferred time slot.
“FindYahan aims to become that friend whom you trust for getting all recommendations”, maintains Snehil.
The startup has over 10k suppliers and a user base of over 2 Lakhs.
The company recently raised an undisclosed amount of funding from Times Group‘s Brand Capital. The raised funding will be used for marketing purposes.
