Socializing Apps RoundUp: Instabounce, Partiko and DuPlay


Founded in December 2014 by Harman Sawhney, InstaBounce is a mobile marketplace for last minute event discovery and reservation. The startup shows its users a curated list of nightlife events like clubbing etc. happening in the city. Also, it helps the event organisers to sell their unsold inventory at the last minute as well as helps people discover and book events for last-minute plans.

The company had raised Rs.10 lakh of funding from Aniruddha Malpani and Anil Chokhani and used for technology enhancement. It launched its Android and iOS apps and has more than 15,000 downloads in Delhi/NCR. It processes over 3,000 bookings in a month. 

“We will soon launch the version 2 of InstaBounce App. We are working to create an ecosystem through which all the stakeholders in the events industry will be mutually benefitted. Also, we’re looking at city by city expansion starting from Mumbai. By the end of 2016, InstaBounce will be present in 6 cities,” Harman told iamwire.

Started in late 2014 by three Co-Founders- Amanjot Malhotra, Hitesh Jain and Arpit Gupta, Partiko is a last minute events discovery and booking app for the spontaneous buying users in the metropolitan cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore etc. 

Its Android app allows users to discover events like Nightlife, Music, Food, Drink, Wine, Concerts, Experiences, Sports, Travel, and Startup in Delhi/NCR. The startup is currently featuring only Delhi, Gurgaon and Noida events but soon it will be expanding to other cities like Mumbai and Bangalore.

The app recommends every day personalized list of Delhi events for users at the location of their choice. Also, it helps them find trending events for the coming weekend, weekdays or any major holidays in advance.

Currently, the company is bootstrapped and it is in talks with investors to raise a seed round in the next 3 months. The upcoming funding will be used for app development, hiring, merchant acquisition as well as for marketing purposes.

The startup has more than 3500 app downloads, over 70 daily active users and doing more than 15 daily bookings through the app. The company plans to launch its iOS app in November and aims to achieve more than 5000 downloads by October end. It also targets to reach up to 150 daily active users and more than 50 daily active bookings.


Started in July, 2015 by Neha Jain, Duplay is a mobile messaging app that connect like-minded people to pursue various interests and hobbies collectively. It provides connectivity for consumers without any charges and helps in developing personalities by connecting with the right set of people. Duplay, is launched and maintained by a software brand Primus.

The startup has launched its app for Android and iOS users. The app enable users to start chatting with a match or instantly snap a photo to share all the special moments with all their matches at once. The technical aesthetics of the app are designed in a manner that it works flawlessly in almost all the smartphone configurations. The company has approximately 5000 app downloads so far.

Talking about their future plans, Neha said that, ” We definitely look at increasing our database by reaching out to more users in the coming times. We want to make Duplay a ‘go-to’ feature for individuals so that they can  connect with like-minded people, just by a click on their smartphones. We aim to provide an easy to access platform for all our users looking out for specific information and connect them to the right kind of people.  Going forward, we will also be adding interesting features for the benefits of our users.”
