Bangalore based mobile technology startup Mubble has raised an undisclosed amount in series A round from Accel Partners, to scale up the existing business.
“We will use the funds to attract the best tech talent, and build a world class product, designed for the masses of India”, said Ashwin Ramaswamy, co-founder & CEO of Mubble.
Mubble is a smartphone app that helps smartphone users track and control their telecom spends and their mobile data usage. The company does this via a self-learning, offline-capable, on-device text analytics engine. By giving users one-click access to their telecom spend & mobile data usage information, across sims, tries to empower users to take better decisions when it comes to using their smartphones.

Since going live, the app has clocked close to a million downloads, in less than a year. The app is designed to work offline, thereby conserving mobile data balances of its users. It is available in multiple Indian languages, with nearly half of its users using Mubble in their mother tongue instead of English.
Mubble was founded in 2013 by Ashwin Ramaswamy (IIT Madras, IIM Bangalore), Pranav Jha (IIT Bombay) and Raghvendra Varma (IIT BHU). Ashwin has over 18 years of experience in telecom & retail, he has held leadership positions in Airtel and Jubilant Retail. Pranav has over 20 years of experience in building products, in both early stage and mature technology companies, across multiple continents, in the banking & analytics domain with Appnomic, Vhayu and BMC Software. Raghvendra has over 23 years of experience, and was a founding team member at OnMobile where he built product platforms.
