New Delhi-based StalkBuyLove, an online fashion brand for women apparel, has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from a group of 10 international investors including Mato Peric, former CEO of Rocket Internet’s global eCommerce portfolio. The company will use the funds to further accelerate its growth, invest into its talent base and strengthen its supply and fulfilment structures further.
Founded by Rocket Internet Alumni Tushar Ahluwalia, Nishrit Srivastva, Aashna Chopra and Shikha Ahluwalia in 2013, the startup offers fashion inspired from International trends to Indian women at affordable prices. Its product categories include dresses, blazers, tops, jackets, skirts, trousers, jumpsuits, and shirts among others.
“With an average discount rate of only 5% we are following an entirely different strategy than any other Ecommerce company in India – and it has proven to be the right approach for us. We focus entirely on our customers’ needs and believe in the combination of art, craft and science to grow StalkBuyLove.com into a new power brand in the Indian fashion industry.” said Tushar Ahluwalia.
The company mentioned that its unique Just-in-Time supply structures as well as its brand building strategy and fashion competence were key in attracting the investor group.
The startup is directly competing with online marketplaces and fashion eCommerce stores like Myntra, Jabong, Zovi, Yepme and women apparel focussed private labels like FabAlley. DONEbyNONE was one of its biggest competitors in affordable proprietary design clothing space, but it closed down its shop in January this year due to financial trouble.
