Health and Wellness Startup CureJoy Raises $1.15M Funding Led by Accel Partners

Bengaluru and San Francisco based online health and wellness startup, CureJoy has secured $1.15M funding in Pre-Series A round, led by Accel Partners, India. Serial entrepreneurs Subrata Mitra, Larry Braitman (Founder of Flycast & Adify), Venk Krishnan (Founder and CEO of Nuware Technologies), Russ Fradin and Chandrasekar Kandasamy also participated in the funding round.   

Raised funds will be used to further expand their services in India and other countries and strengthen its team to compliment their capabilities.  

Founded in 2013, by Dikshant Dave and Srini Sharma, CureJoy is an online destination for Natural Health and Wellness, where people can find fresh and credible content, answers to some of the most common health questions and health advice from experts.

The online platform provides curated content through its backend algorithms and technology on natural health and wellness by experts usually associated with large universities like Stanford or UCLA and merges it with the global trends and patterns.

The company claims to have over 8 million site visitors per month and an active Facebook community with about 2.7 Million users, thereby making it rank three global company in terms of Facebook engagement.

Till now the company has raised two rounds of investment by Accel Partners, India and Independent Angels based out of US and India. In the next 6-8 quarters, CureJoy envisions reaching 50 million users including those from countries like Germany, Spain, France, etc with localized content in multiple languages. The app service is available for iOS users.
