Bangalore-based DailyNinja, a hyperlocal mobile solution for all needs that are subscription based, has raised an undisclosed amount of funding led by Aprameya Radhakrishna, co-founder of TaxiForSure. The round also saw participation from six angel investors including Naman Sarawagi of FindYogi and Afsal Salu, co-founder of Delyver (acquired by BigBasket) among others.
The company plans to use the funds to expand its operations to serve much larger areas of Bangalore and setup warehouses across the city.
The startup was founded by Sagar Yarnalkar and Anurag Gupta, both batchmates from BITS Pilani. Sagar was previously leading Appspire Technologies (appspire.in), a mobile services firm based in Mumbai and was also Co-Founder of Scoot (scootapp.com). Anurag was also a Co-founder in Appspire Technologies and was working in Goldman Sachs as a Senior Analyst.
DailyNinja allows its users to set subscriptions for their daily needs like milk, bread, eggs, curd, dosa batter, paneer and water cans. The company started its operations 4 months ago. Currently it claims to fulfill 500 orders daily. It is operational in Marathahalli and Mahadevapura areas in Bangalore. The startup has 8 employees, and is planning to extend its team size. Its app is available for Android users only.
Aprameya, the lead investor for the round said, “The daily needs market is a subscription based one. The target audience is huge and yet this vital market is untapped.
