What is Quickli?
Quickli is an on-demand local delivery network for businesses. It was founded by Rohan Diwan and Sudhanshu Aggarwal in January 2015 and went live in April 2015. It bridges the last mile gap between retailers and customers.
“The massive growth in hyper-local e-commerce and the huge unorganized market of last-mile deliveries was the biggest motivation to start Quickli,” said Sudhanshu Aggarwal, Quickli Co-founder.
What problem is it solving?
The startup caters to the last mile delivery problems for businesses. The startup provides businesses with an on-demand team of delivery executives to better manage the deliveries and reduce costs by not having idle resources.
It delivers products the same day and as the company claims in less than an hour’s time. “92% customers are likely to shop from a retailer who offers same day delivery to them,” quotes the company website.
Who is it competing with?
How does it work?
Any merchant or partner who wants to get its products delivered needs to give Quickli a missed call, use company app or the API integration to let the company know about the merchants pickup interest. After receiving the request from the merchant the company assigns the order pick up to the nearest available delivery executive, which then delivers it to the customers’ address. This whole process is tracked using technology which provides complete transparency to both the merchants and end customers. Merchants have a prepaid wallet and are charged on per delivery basis.
Precautions taken while delivering items: “Our delivery boys are trained to handle various types of products and transport them in top of the line insulated bags to preserve the quality and freshness of the goods,” said the company Co-founder Sudhanshu. Further on being asked if they do not deliver any specific product, Sudhanshu added, “We delivery anything and everything that we are legally allowed to carry and that can fit in our delivery bags.”
Present Status and Future Goals:
Presently Quickli is a team of 100 people including the delivery executives. In a day the venture is fulfilling 700+ deliveries in Delhi NCR region. It is a bootstrapped venture which is looking out to raise funds. Currently the application is available for Android users.
On being asked about Quickli’s future plans, the Co-founder simply said, “Expand Quickli”!
