Career Community for Women Sheroes Attracts Rs 5Cr from a Suite of Investors

Noida-based, career destination for women professionals, Sheroes has raised Rs. 5 crore in angel round of funding led by Raghav Bahl-owned Quintillion Media and 500 Startups. Rajan Anandan, Vijay Shekhar Sharma and Binny Bansal are also participated in the round along with Freshdesk’s Girish Mathrubootham, entrepreneurs Indus Khaitan of Bitzer Mobile, and Krishna Mehra of Capillary Technologies.

The raised funding will be used to invest in community and product. Launched in January 2014 by Sairee Chahal, Sheroes focuses on career options including work-from-home jobs, part-time jobs, corporate opportunities, franchising, resellers, partnerships and startups for women. Currently, more than 6,000 companies use the platform and over half a million women are Sheroes members across 5,000 locations.

In 2014, more than 1 million women availed of career resources, mentorship and opportunities at the startup.
