VentureNursery, India’s angel-backed, start-up accelerator has announced a seed investment by its members in The Home Salon, an on-demand home beauty and wellness services platform.

The Home Salon successfully graduated from VentureNursery’s Season 6 Acceleration Program that concluded in June 2015.

Mumbai-based, The Home Salon (THS) connects stylists, therapists and beauticians to customers who are looking to indulge in home services and treatments. THS operates as a controlled marketplace that curates and controls the supply of products to customers with their app-based model.

Its iOS and Android app which is expected to launch soon, will enable customers to book services from a wide choice of salon and spa treatments and have a technician come home in less than an hour.

It currently operates in Mumbai and is expected to expand to other cities in the near future.

The company is co-founded by husband-wife duo Rishika Chandan and Nihar Thanawala, both graduates of the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad.
