Mumbai-based analytics and mobile engagement platform WizRocket, has raised $8 million from Sequoia Capital and Accel Partners. The freshly raised capital would be utilized for expanding overseas and strengthening the product, as confirmed by the company.
The investment also marks the mingling of Sequoia Capital and Accel Partners.
Commenting on the investment, Anand Jain, Cofounder of WizRocket, said, “As the mobile app market grows exponentially, marketers and developers need the next generation of tools.”
WizRocket is an omni-channel platform which allows developers and marketers to engage with users across email, web and mobile. It also provides them with an access to raw data on the number of uninstalls and segmentation of customers so they can better target their users. Also, the company creates unified profiles, understanding users’ behaviour across web and mobile, solving a key problem for eCommerce players today. Adding a statement on the product, Jain said, “We believe life exists outside the mobile app as well.”
Founded in 2013 by Sunil Thomas, Suresh Kondamudi and Jain, wizRocket sends out about 30 million notifications a day. Previously, it had raised $1.6 million from Accel Partners.
