Taxi aggregator Uber would be investing $50 million in Hyderabad over the next five years to establish its biggest international facility that will be designed to accommodate hundreds of its employees.
On Monday, the US-based company signed a pact with the Telangana Government to establish the “state-of-the-art facility” as a step to strengthen its hold in India.
Recently, Uber established its presence in seven Indian cities, thus making India the biggest market outside the U.S., reports TOI
Commenting on the matter, Siddharth Shanker, General Manager (Hyderabad), Uber maintained, “Uber will invest upwards of $50 million in Hyderabad over the next five years to establish a state-of-the-art facility that will house around 500 employees. Hyderabad was always the preferred choice. The supportive and forward-thinking government, deep talent pool, excellent real estate and high standard of living were key factors that influenced this decision.”Category Business Investments
