Sharing the day with OnePlus2, Lenovo-owned Motorola Mobility has launched the third generation of its Moto G smartphone in India at a price of Rs.11,999. The Motorola Moto G (Gen 3) smartphone will be exclusively available via Flipkart starting midnight tonight.
The third generation Moto G comes with a 5-inch HD display with a 1280×720 pixels resolution. The phone also has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protective covering on the front.
The phone is IPX7 certified for water resistance up to 3 feet of water and up to 30 minutes.
The Moto G (Gen 3) is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor coupled with 1GB RAM and 8GB of internal memory. The phone supports expandable storage of up to 32GB via microSD.
The 2015 Moto G comes with a 13MP rear camera with multilayer IR filter and f/2.0 aperture. The company says it has got the same sensor as in Google Nexus.
There’s also a 5MP front facing camera with wide angle lens.
The phone runs stock Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box with zero bloatware, says the company. It also supports 4G LTE.
The Moto G (Gen 2) comes with features like Moto Display, Quick Capture and Chop Twice, which are all meaningful experiences, according to the company.
The new Moto G has a 20 per cent more powerful battery than in the previous generation Moto G.
The new Moto G will come in two primary colours that can be enhanced via swappable covers (Moto shells) available in varied colours, reports IndiaToday.
