iDreamCareer.com, a Delhi based Ed-tech startup, has raised an undisclosed sum as angel capital through ah! Ventures. The angels from ah! Ventures together with angel investors Vivek Joshi, Mohit Satyanand, Indian Designs Group and others partnered to fund the startup.
The raised investment will be used to upgrade the product with addition of information alert tools, college application system, content upgradation etc. Funds will also be used for sales and marketing to grow business pan India and Middle East.
Founded in late 2013, the startup has grown to become an EdTech brand in the space of career & higher education planning for students.
The startup developed a 3S framework program- ‘Structured, Scientific & Scalable’, to help students in deciding a career for themselves. The program is currently being used by students in India, Middle East & East Africa.
The Career planning Program aims to help students to take informed career decisions through its proprietary Career Assessment tool and one-on-one career mentoring. Its package plans ranges from one time engagement session to two year plans with multiple engagements with experts mentors, delivered over combination of face to face, Skype and phone sessions.
It has been observed that the elearning space is attracting investors interest, as one can see more and more education based startups being funded these days. Recently, in June 2015, eLearning startup Sigrid Education had raised an undisclosed amount of funding from Oliphans Capital. In May 2015, edtech startup MeetUniv raised an amount of $1 million from US-based Peesh Venture Capital. In January 2015, Simplilearn and Aasaanjobs also raised investments.
