After months of speculation about who will be Google’s partner in developing its Nexus 5 (2015), it is pretty much certain that the name is LG. Nevertheless, no statement has been announced officially yet.
According to sources, LG won’t be basing the Nexus device on its latest flagship, the LG G4. Rather, it would be creating the new handset from scratch.
It is also rumoured that Huawei too might build a Nexus device soon, as Google could be planning to roll out two Nexus devices this year. If the case is true, Huawei is speculated to build a larger Nexus device than LG which would be creating a comparatively smaller one, codenamed LG Angler, reports TOI.
The LG Angler is expected to have a 5.2-inch screen and a battery in the region of 2700 mAh, while Huawei’s device is rumoured to have a 5.7-inch screen, a 3500 mAh battery and a Snapdragon 810 processor.
