Alok Goel is the New Managing Director of SAIF Partners

SAIF Partners, the VC firm worth $4 billion under management has announced the appointment of Alok Goel as the Managing Director. Alok was previously heading as the CEO and was the COO of prior to that. He is well-known in the industry for closing two of the biggest M&A in the Indian internet ecosystem with the acquisition of Freecharge by Snapdeal and  redBus by Naspers. At SAIF Partners, Alok will supervise early stage investments.


Speaking on the matter, Alok said, “SAIF Partners has one of the finest portfolios in the industry today. I am excited to be a part of this team and leverage my experience in Internet and Mobile businesses to help early-stage companies become world-class businesses.”

Having built and scaled successful internet companies, his experience will be very vital to our firm.”

Alok worked at Google for five years before joining redBus, in various roles including product management of Google Display Network. Also, he was the head of Search and Mobile Products in India, besides serving as Product Manager for Search and Geo Local, India. Alok was named in Fortune India’s prestigious ’40 Under 40’ List in March 2015.
