Money Pooling App ‘MyPoolin’ Pools in Money From Angels

Delhi based startup MyPoolin has raised seed funding from a group of Angel Investors namely Sharad Sharma (iSPIRT), Rajan Anandan (MD Google India), Sunil Kalra, Amit Ranjan (Co-Founder – SlideShare), Rohan & Arjun Malhotra (Investopad), Jaspreet Bindra (ex-Microsoft, AskMe), Gautam Gandhi (ex-Google), Steve Sule and Gagan Dugal (Matrix Cellular).

Founded in January 2015 by Ankit Singh and Rohit Taneja, the startup is a mobile peer-to-peer and group payments social network that allows people to plan and pool money for movies, events, parties, group-gifting and trips.

The company initially launched a web app and within the first four months of its launch, it gained traction getting revenue of Rs.10 lakh, as reported by Next Big What.

Their Android app has brought their planning and payment solution to mobile audience as well. To use the app, all that a user (one who plans the party) needs to do is share the plan with his/her friends who can then discuss and vote in/out within the app. Once everyone decides, people can pay their share for the party, using any mode of payment (such as use of wallet like Mobikwik). The party organiser can redeem the money through a transfer to their bank account or online merchants such as Amazon, Jabong, PVR, MakeMyTrip etc.
