German automaker Mercedes-Benz unveils its sleek, portable personal power storage plants. The unit has been crafted with great panache and can contain 2.5 kWh of energy. If eight of them are combined, 20kWh of energy can be held. It is equipped to buffer the energy requirements of households which are already using solar energy.
Not much information has been shared by the company on this product, however, it is clearly a step taken by Mercedes against Tesla’s Powerwall.
The product will be showcased at the upcoming Intersolar Expo in Munich, Germany later this week, reports Mashable.
The cost of the product has not been disclosed by the company. However, preorders are already available on the company’s website, with deliveries scheduled to begin in September.
