Mumbai-based errand-running and same-day delivery service GetMyPeon has raised its first round of seed funding of $250,000 (Rs. 1.5 crore approx.) after being in the business for over two & a half years. The investor’s names are still undisclosed.

The funds received will essentially be invested in infrastructure; i.e. technology (frontend & backend), vehicles, hiring more executives on field, mobile platform and geographical expansion.

The company started its operations in July 2012 with a mere capital of Rs. 20,000. From delivering vada-pav from a specific food stall to a client waiting at the airport to accompanying a client’s grandparent to the doctor’s clinic, they themselves discovered a new use of their service everyday. Currently, it provides services to 1000+ active clients and operating in Mumbai, Thane & Vashi.

Commenting on the first round of seed funding Bharat Ahirwar, Founder – GetMyPeon said, “GetMyPeon was started with a simple vision of running errands for individuals and helping them with their daily chores. This has now turned into a reliable, affordable, dependable and the most available service to get anything personal to official done in the city. Whether its picking up cakes, parcel, gifts, wedding cards, couriers to taking your car / bike for servicing or receiving guests from the Airport/Railway station; we offer it all.”
