Yesware, an email productivity company that helps salespeople close more business, has raised $13.3 million in series C round Foundry Group with participation from Battery Ventures, Google Ventures, Golden Venture Partners and IDG Ventures.
The latest round brings the total capital of the firm to $33 million. The raised funding will be used to accelerate the company’s growth and fuel expansion.
Integrated into Gmail, Yesware provides email tracking and analytics, customizable sales templates, CRM integration, and more to help salespeople communicate with customers more effectively. The company claims to served almost 700,000 salespeople across the globe. It offer Yesware for Google Apps, Outlook and iOS and integrated into the sales process at some of the software companies in the world.
Firms like OpenDNS, Trump Hotels, Acquia, Marin Software, Mimeo, Wildfire, Brightcove, Motorola, Yammer, and LivingSocial are using Yesware services. Boston-based company was founded in 2010, and currently has 70 people in its team. Companies like Salesforce, Microsoft and Oracle also sell their enterprise software annually to corporate IT departments while Yesware sells its services directly to salespeople instead of to an IT or marketing department interested in sales pipeline visibility.
